Tracing his roots from a challenging upbringing in urban East Orange, New Jersey, through his years studying at Yale University, the author shows the potential and opportunities Rob was offered. However, he kept getting pulled back to his old life, and his old friends and connections. These choices, some of which the author judges were the only ones really available to him, led to his demise.
