The Rocks is fictional novel written by Peter Nichols. The Rocks tells the story of two families whose lives intertwine throughout three generations, with the common denominator of a beautiful setting on a Spanish island. Lulu and Gerald have a complicated and mysterious past, as well as a tragic end. Gerald’s daughter Aegina and Lulu’s son Luc (from different marriages) also struggle to understand the nature of their connection to one another, as well as their fateful love for each other. The main themes in the novel include Homer’s Odyssey, misunderstandings, journeys and feeling safe.
