The Lesbiana's Guide to Catholic School is a young adult novel by Sonora Reyes. Yami is a junior in high school when she and her brother transfer from their public school to a private Catholic school in a wealthy neighborhood. Both Yami and Cesar are gay, though, so life only gets more complicated in their new environment. When Yami falls in love with a girl, she must decide whether or not to come out of the closet or risk losing her true love forever. The novel explores homophobia, race, family, secrets, and guilt.
