The Insufferable Gaucho Overview
The Insufferable Gaucho is a collection of short stories by Chilean-born author, Roberto Bolaño. The stories were originally published in Spanish in 2003, and were translated into English in 2010. Stories include subjects such as an Argentine writer’s adventures in France and Pepe the Rat, a police rat who tries to track down a killer in the sewers, as well as a handful of lectures that Bolaño has given. Themes include death, illness, and transformation.
