The Husbands Overview
In Chandler Baker's novel The Husbands, main character Nora Spangler is up for partner at her legal firm, pregnant with her second child, and desperate to balance her work and home life. Frustrations in her marriage to Hayden complicate her ability to feel at peace with her life. Therefore, when she becomes involved with the elite Dynasty Ranch community, Nora believes they have everything she has ever wanted. Her desire for love and support from the Dynasty Ranch wives complicates her ability to detect the dark truths going on around her. The novel explores themes including, idealism, longing, and guilt.
