The Guide: A Novel Overview
In Peter Heller's novel The Guide, 25-year-old Jack leaves his father's ranch to pursue a career as a fishing guide at the elite Kingfisher Lodge in Crested Butte, Colorado. Though Jack arrives at the lodge with the hopes that the work will quell his grief and guilt over past mistakes, an accumulating series of dubious happenings on the property disrupts Jack's healing process.
