The Good People Overview
Hannah Kent’s The Good People is a historical novel about the social interactions in an isolated Irish valley. When misfortune sweeps over the community, they search to find its origins in each other and their supposed connections to the supernatural, yielding fatal results. The novel about humanity and relationships deals with themes of religion and folklore, fear, illness, grief, and ignorance.
