The Flame Alphabet Overview
This work of speculative fiction explores what might happen if the language of young people became poisonous to adults, with protagonist Samuel struggling to work out ways of fulfilling his various responsibilities in the face of such a pervasive, life-threatening toxin. Almost satirical in tone and intent, the novel explores themes related to the power of faith, the drive to survive, and the responsibilities associated with fulfilling the roles of husband, father, and Jew.
