The Falconer Overview
The falconer is a novel by Dana Czapnik. This novel tells the coming-of-age story of Lucy Adler, a basketball-loving teenager living in New York City in 1993. Over the course of the story, Lucy considers the women around her—her mother, her older cousin, her cousin's roommate, and others—to determine what kind of person she wants to be when she grows up. All the while, she struggles with her unrequited feelings for her aloof best friend Percy Abney. The novel explores themes related to first loves, feminism, and youthful idealism.
