The Destroyers: A Novel Overview

Twenty-nine year old Ian Bledsoe arrives on the island of Patmos, Greece, following his recent disinheritance by his overly-critical father and the misinformed torrent of media coverage of a bomb plot haunting Ian from his time in Panama. Seeking the help of his best childhood friend, Charlie, who he has not seen in years, Ian remembers their time together playing Destroyers in which they sought escape from men in black balaclavas. When Charlie goes missing shortly after his arrival, Ian must wind his way through various well-crafted deceptions in order to uncover the truth behind his friend’s yacht business and, hopefully, his disappearance.
