The Beekeeper of Aleppo is a novel by Christy Lefteri. The story follows Nuri Ibrahim, a man from Syria. After his son is killed by the violence of the Syrian Civil War, Nuri and his wife Afra decide to flee the country. Along the way, they face many challenges and meet other refugees. Nuri and Afra hope to travel to England, as some of their family members have fled to there. The novel explores themes such as violence, trauma, bureaucracy, hope, despair, and morality.
