The Address Overview
Fiona Davis' historical novel The Address focuses on an elegant New York City apartment building, the Dakota, and how it affects the lives of two related women who live in the building a century apart. Sara Smythe, an immigrant from London, struggles to navigate her way through society despite being named the building's manager when it opens in the 1880's. Her great-granddaughter, Bailey Camden, takes refuge in the building in the 1980's after being forced to go to rehab, and then begins to uncover mysterious facts about Sara's life.
