Stay With Me Overview
Ayobami Adebayo’s literary fiction novel, Stay with Me, tells the story of a young couple in 2008 reflecting on their time trying to create a family in Nigeria in the 1980's. The complexities of reproduction and parenting force this couple to each make difficult choices and sacrifices for the sake of each other and their family. Adebayo explores deception, religion, and the power of biology and ultimately how all of these themes intersect with each other within the context of constant political turmoil.
