Siege and Storm Overview

Siege and Storm is the second novel in Leigh Bardugo's Shadow and Bone Trilogy. After the devastating events of the previous novel, Alina and Mal escape the evil Darkling to live a quiet life overseas. However, the Darkling tracks them down and captures them with his new powers of darkness, which enable him to create shadow monsters. Luckily, the prince of Ravka, Nikolai, rescues Alina and Mal. Together, the trio returns to the castle where they prepare to meet the Darkling in battle so they can defeat him once and for all. The novel explores patriotism, story, division, elitism, and power.
