Shooting Kabul Overview

Shooting Kabul is a young adult novel about a 12 year old boy called Fadi whose family leaves their home in Afghanistan to begin a new life in the United States of America. Mariam, Fadi’s younger sister, is lost during the dangerous journey the family made to escape from Afghanistan across the Pakistan border. Once the family has settled in San Francisco, Fadi tries to come up with a way of going back to Pakistan to look for his little sister but life becomes more complicated for his family and other Muslims in America after the terrorist attacks of 9/11.
