Sarahland Overview
Sarahland is a collection of 10 short stories by Sam Cohen. Most of the stories revolve around characters named Sarah. Some of the stories are fantastical, some are realistic, some are steeped in biblical allusion. In one story, a young woman named Sarah becomes disillusioned with her college dorm roommates—all named Sarah. In another, a 12-year-old girl becomes obsessed with going to horse camp. In another, two women decide to become trees. The stories consider themes such as gender and sexuality, the self, and pop culture.
