Run (Ann Patchett) Overview

Run is the story of a widower, Doyle, and his sons, Sullivan, Teddy, and Tip, the day after Tip is saved by a woman, Tennessee Moser, who, unbeknownst to them, is Tip and Teddy's birth mother. As Tennessee recovers in a hospital bed, the men care for Kenya, Tennessee's daughter. When Kenya tells the men the truth about Tennessee's identity, the men's relationships with one another fall to pieces. Run is the story of how one family faces and manages to recover from the knowledge of a difficult truth, one that not a single one of them could have predicted before it came.
