Monica West's novel Revival Season is the story of Miriam Horton, daughter of the charismatic preacher Samuel Horton. When Miriam learns she has the ability to heal and that Samuel has apparently lost it, she sets out on a journey to force him to acknowledge that women can play a role in God's plan.
