Ramona Quimby, Age 8, tells the story of an impetuous young girl named Ramona who begins third grade and has to deal with a new school and stress in her family. Ramona is the youngest in the family, and she has an older sister in junior high. Her father has recently quit his job and is going to college to become a teacher. Her mother works as a receptionist in a doctor’s office. In spite of problems at school and the challenging finances at home, Ramona enjoys doing her part to be a responsible family member and begins to learn to think before she speaks or acts.
