Piranesi is a novel by Susanna Clarke. The story follows a man called Piranesi, who lives in a mysterious, endless labyrinth. He believes that he has always lived there, but he soon begins to discover that his situation is not as it seems. Through his interactions with other people in the labyrinth—and through his discovery of old journal entries—he gradually unravels the mystery of who he is. The novel explores themes of exploration, magic, rationality, identity, and truth.
