Ordinary Grace Overview
Ordinary Grace is a mystery novel by American author William Kent Krueger. In 2014, the novel won the Edgar Award, an honor presented to works of outstanding mystery fiction each year. Presented as a framed narrative, the narrator, Frank Drum, looks back upon the summer of 1961, when many suspicious deaths occurred in the small town of New Bremen, Minnesota. Within the context of the suspicious deaths occurring in the community, the author uses Frank's storytelling to present themes of family conflict, prejudice, coming-of-age, deception, and redemption.
