Noggin Overview
Noggin is a young adult novel by American author John Corey Whaley. The narrative relates the story of Travis Coates, who died at the age of 16 after a long battle with leukemia. Before his death, Travis volunteered to be part of an experimental medical procedure that would see his healthy head removed from his unhealthy body, cryogenically frozen, and at some undefined point in the future when medical technology made it possible, reattached to the healthy body of another volunteer. Noggin explores themes of life, death, identity, transformation, love, and family.
