John Sandford’s thriller, Neon Prey, is the author’s 29th novel in the Prey series. The narrative tells of Lucas Davenport’s hunt for the notorious Clayton Deese. As he tracks Deese down, Lucas displays the characteristics of a good hunter who recognizes the value of teamwork when catching one’s prey and also shows the results of not displaying these characteristics. With the help of his powers of deduction, the work of his team, and the implementation of police procedures, Lucas is able to find and defeat Deese. The author addresses themes related to family, technology's role in society, legality and morality, good and evil, and the power of money.
