Mr. Vertigo Overview
The novel Mr. Vertigo follows the life of Walt Rawley, a St. Louis orphan who in the mid-1920s is adopted at the age of nine by a mysterious man called Master Yehudi. Yehudi teaches Walt how to fly, and then takes Walt on the road as a successful performance act. They form a bond like that of a father and son, but after a series of misfortunes, Walt must figure out how to put his life back together. The novel explores themes of loss, family, perseverance, morality, and purpose.
