Moon Rising Overview

Tui Sutherland's fantasy novel, Moon Rising, is the sixth of the Wings of Fire series. Peace has come to Pyrrhia after years of civil war. Now, the dragons are gathering to attend a school that will teach and promote understanding among the tribes. A NightWing named Moon is hiding the fact that she can read minds and has visions of the future. She is communicating with an ancient dragon named Darkstalker who recently woke after centuries asleep. Moon discovers that her powers are not a curse as she has always believed. Her new friends are willing to accept her even after learning about her powers. She sets out with her group to accomplish a series of goals. The novel's main themes are the cost of power, the effects of environment, and destiny versus choice.
