Maybe Someday Overview
Maybe Someday is a novel by Colleen Hoover. The story centers on 22 year old Sydney who is enjoying a great life: she is in college, working, and seemingly in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, while living with her best friend, Tori. Everything changes, however, when she discovers that Hunter is cheating on her with her best friend. Soon, Sydney finds herself captivated by her mysterious and attractive neighbor, Ridge. She listens to his passionate guitar playing and they soon find themselves fighting to keep their feelings under wraps. The novel explores themes of innocence, emotional dependence, escapism, idealization, and guilt.
