Love, Creekwood Overview
Becky Albertalli’s Love, Creekwood is a current-day novella set mostly in Pennsylvania, New York, and Georgia. Quirky, often oblivious, and just a few years out of the closet, Simon Spier navigates college life in Philly alone, communicating with his tightly-knit (and now dispersed) high school gang predominantly through social media and struggling to feel secure in his newly long-distance relationship with his boyfriend of two years. Love, Creekwood is an epilogue to Albertalli’s novels Love, Simon (2015) and Leah on the Offbeat (2018). Key themes of the novella include new experiences, romance, and isolation.
