L.A. Weather Overview
María Amparo Escandón's novel, L.A. Weather, tells the story of one unique California family's journey towards love and reconciliation. At the start of 2016, Keila and Oscar Alvarado's marriage appears to be crumbling. Though Keila wants a divorce, she and Oscar promise their daughters, Claudia, Olivia, and Patricia, that they will work on their relationship for at least a year before giving up. Over the course of the months that follow, the family faces a network of unexpected trials. The family must decide whether or not their familial connection is capable of saving them from great loss. The novel explores themes including, love, faith, and reconciliation.
