I’ll Give You the Sun is a novel told in two parts, one from the perspective of Noah, a budding artist, and the other from his twin sister's, Jude, perspective. Noah and Jude are one soul until the death of their mother, and Jude’s acceptance into art school instead of Noah compounded by the pains of adolescence and young love tear them apart. The novel unwinds their falling apart through two separate perspectives as it slowly reveals the past and builds to their reunion. The novel deals with themes of grief, heartbreak, young heterosexual and homosexual love, coming of age, betrayal, artistic expression, and destiny.
