Honey and Spice Overview

Bolu Babalola's Honey and Spice is a romance novel about two partially Nigerian students who attend college in England. Kiki is an antisocial intellectual who has sworn off men in order to focus on her radio show, Brown Sugar, which gives dating advice to the other Black students at Whitewell college. Malikai is a new transfer student and serial womanizer who is attempting to create a film about romance. The two join forces and start fake-dating for the sake of their respective arts, but then they both develop genuine feelings for one another.
