Grief’s Garden Overview
In Caroline Albertine Minor's short story "Grief's Garden," first-person narrator Caroline is left reeling after her husband "M" suffers a brain injury from a traumatic car accident. In the weeks and months following the accident, M appears almost entirely changed to Caroline. Because he remembers so little of their shared life together, Caroline begins to disbelieve the authenticity of their history. The short story explores themes including, grief, memory, and love.
