Friday Black Overview
Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah's Friday Black is a collection of short stories that impart social commentary; many of them surrealistic and/or dystopian in style. Two of these stories relate to racially-motivated attacks on African Americans, while another imagines a chaotic Black Friday sale as a zombie invasion. The stories consider themes related to racism, retributive justice, and capitalist excesses, among others.
