Lewis B. Puller Jr. in his frank autobiography probes his life as the son of the famous Marine General Lewis B. “Chesty” Puller and the rebuilding of his life after a catastrophic injury in the Vietnam War. Attempting to live up to his father’s legacy Puller lost both legs and a hand to an explosion but went on to attend law school, run for the Congress, and became part of the Pentagon’s legal department in a story of both devastation and hope.
