“Femme Fatale” is a contemporary free-verse poem by American poet Jeannine Hall Gailey. It first appeared in her debut collection, Becoming the Villainess, in 2006. The poem uses cultural archetypes to explore themes of feminine oppression and objectification, yet ultimately ends on a hopeful note.
