Fall: Or, Dodge in Hell is an epic, sweeping novel which spans the course of several decades, continents, and shifts back and forth from the real world to the Bitworld, a strange and mysterious fantasy-like realm operated on a series of computer servers housing the uploaded consciousness of the dead. The protagonist is Dodge, later known as Egdod, a video game developer whose sudden death ushers in the beginning of the Bitworld and an epic battle for power. The novel tackles themes of technology, religion, power, capitalism, and memory.
