Eventide Overview
Eventide, a novel by Kent Haruf, follows the trials and tribulations of a small cast of rural, working class residents of Holt, Colorado. The story takes place during the autumn, winter, and spring of a single year. The author addresses themes such as trying to understand the plight of the poor rather than looking down on them and realizing that money and material wealth are not the most important things in life.
