Elmet Overview

A family builds for themselves a house in the woods of Elmet in Yorkshire, but their solitary idyll is short lived. When a landowner threatens to evict them from their house, Daniel, his sister Cathy, and their father must unite the village to rise up against unjust landlords and farmers, but the father's physical strength and penchant for bare knuckle boxing could only protect his family for so long. Daniel narrates the chain of events that ultimately lead to violence and tragedy.
