Days Without End: A Novel Overview
Set in America during the Indians wars and Civil War of the 1850s and 1860s, Days Without End is a work of historical fiction that tells the story of Thomas McNulty, a soldier who fled Ireland as a young boy in search of a better life. Told from his point of view, the novel follows Thomas through his challenging experiences of fighting gruesome battles, surviving harsh climates, and discovering his true identity as a woman. Ultimately, Thomas’s chance at happiness rests on his relationship with his comrade, John Cole, and their adopted Native American daughter, Winona.
