Cruel Crown Overview

Cruel Crown by Victoria Aveyard is comprised of two novellas taking place in the same world as the "Red Queen" series of novels. The novellas tell the stories of Coriane Jacos and Diana “Lamb” Farley, women from warring social classes. Although Coriane is of noble birth while Lamb is born to the servant class, both want to see an end to the fighting among their people. Themes in the novel include class relations, a person’s need for a purpose and the debilitating power of mind control.
