Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices) Overview

Clockwork Prince, the second book in a trilogy by Cassndra Clare, is the story of Tessa Gray, a young orphan. In the first book of the series, Clockwork Angel,Tessa learned that demons and angels are real and her special power of shape changing made her the target of an evil man named Axel Mortmain. In Clockwork Prince, Tessa joins with a group of Shadowhunters in an attempt to stop Mortmain. Along the way, she struggles to find her own self. To complicate matters, Tessa falls in love with two young men, Jem and Will. She is forced to choose one. The novel addresses the roles of women, good versus evil, and the importance of relationships.
