Circling the Sun Overview
Circling the Sun is the story of Beryl Markham, a woman who took control of her destiny and became the first woman to hold a racehorse training license in Kenya as well as a record-breaking aviator in the midst of scandal, failed marriages and a love triangle with safari hunter Denys Finch Hatton and Karen Blixen. The story starts on September 4,1936 with her taking off on her record-breaking flight, bactracks to her life in Kenya at the age of 4, continues with her life until she takes up flying, and shifts back to September 4, 1936. By having to stand on her own two feet at an early age, Beryl learns to embrace adventure and seek freedom no matter what the risk.
