Bodega Dreams is a novel by Ernesto Quiñonez. The story follows a young man named Chino living in Spanish Harlem, a neighborhood of New York City. Chino is working and putting himself through school when he meets a drug dealer named Willie Bodega, who promises to improve the lives of the neighborhood residents. Willie has one weak spot: the woman he has loved for more than 20 years. What follows is a string of crime, deception, and betrayal. The novel explores themes such as love, loyalty, and aspirations.
