Everything you need to understand or teach Big Swiss by Jen Beagin.
In Jen Beagin's novel Big Swiss, 45-year-old Greta Work begins working as a transcriptionist for a sex therapist named Om after relocating to Hudson, New York. As soon as she hears Om's newest client Big Swiss's voice on the recording, Greta is intrigued. Enamored by Big Swiss's self-possession and unflappability, when Greta meets her in the dog park, she pursues a relationship with her. Rather than curing her sorrow and loneliness, her subsequent affair with Big Swiss forces Greta onto a journey towards transformation. Written from the third person limited point of view, the novel explores themes including grief, identity, and autonomy.
