Betrayal (play) Overview

Betrayal is a play by the British playwright Harold Pinter, first performed in 1978. It tells the story of a seven year affair between Emma and Jerry, moving backwards through time beginning with a meeting two years after the end of the affair and ending on the night the affair began. It deals with themes of appearance versus reality, indirect communication, and control of information.
