Berlin Syndrome Overview
Melanie Joosten’s psychological thriller novel, The Berlin Syndrome, is the story of Clare, an Australian photographer, and Andi, a teacher in Berlin, whose lives collide when they meet by chance in Berlin. When Andi will literally not let Clare go, what begins as a tale of mutual attraction becomes a study of a relationship ruled by the heart and a life with limited freedom. Themes related to identity, love, obsession, truth and fate versus free will are prevalent.
