Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Overview
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller is a story that takes place in the fictional town of Gotham City. Bruce Wayne, a wealthy businessman and philanthropist, finds himself coming out of retirement as Batman to save two innocent girls and battle old villains. Carrie Kelly, one of the girls Batman rescues, becomes Robin and serves as Batman’s sidekick. She helps him in fighting The Joker and Harvey Dent. After Batman fakes his death, he retreats back into a life of retirement where he watches Robin and the Sons of Batman continue to fight crime.
