Rupert Thomson's novel Barcelona Dreaming tells the story of three enigmatic first person narrators, Amy, Nacho, and Jordi. Although Amy, Nacho, and Jordi all reside in Barcelona, none of them know one another personally. Yet when Amy starts an unexpected affair with a young man, when Nacho befriends a famous soccer star, and when Jordi becomes entangled in a ghost story, the characters' lives become increasingly connected.
