Autumn is a post-Brexit novel of love, time, and truth by Ali Smith in which 32-year-old Art History professor Elisabeth Demand reflects on and pursues her almost lifelong romantic-spiritual love for 101-year-old Daniel Gluck. Autumn deals with important and timely themes that range from the idea that there are different kinds of romantic love, to the fact that time should not be wasted, to the argument that 2016 is representative of very dark times for the United Kingdom.
