Everything you need to understand or teach Among School Children (Poem).
“Among School Children” is an eight-stanza poem by Irish poet William Butler Yeats. It first appeared in his 1928 collection The Tower, the first collection to be released after he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1923. The poem was written following one of Yeats’ visits to a girls’ convent school, and alternates between the concrete experience of his visit and the memories and introspections the visit inspired.
