After You, by British author Jojo Moyes, is the sequel to the 2012 novel Me Before You. After You deals with the aftermath of the assisted suicide of Will Traynor at the end of the first novel and the impact it has on the novel’s protagonist, Louisa Clark. Louisa struggles to overcome her grief over Will’s death and get her life back on track, all the while forming a new relationship with a paramedic and assisting a teenage girl who has many of her own problems. The main themes of the novel are grief, moving on from the past, and pushing out of the comfort zone.
